Zenith's History

Getting hold of Zenith

In late 2003 I had correspondence with Andrew Eastwood, he had two boats he wanted to move on: Rannoch – an International Canoe built by Uffa Fox in 1947 and Zenith. If I bought Rannoch I’d get Zenith for free

This was an opportunity that could not be missed, so a price for Rannoch was agreed and a double trailer borrowed from Ed Bremner for the drive from the Devon/Cornwall border to Loch Lomand.

As my parents had a holiday home at Lochgoilhead we had a base to work from and had a weeks holiday in Scotland. While there I released that I really needed undercover storage for both boats and designed a 20′ boat shed and phoned my local builder merchants to deliver the materials when we returned home.

So, we got back to the sunny south West with two vintage sailing canoes that were soon safely installed in a new boatshed
